Hard Work.

Well, in this world everything happens for a reason. Bad things happens so you wont take advantage of the good things. People feel pain so they wont take advantage of joy. People also strive to reach their goals without complaint because they know it will be worth it at the end. I was the kind of person whom always had stuff come easy for them. I never had to really study because the info was easy. I competed and won 2 national championships for karate because it came easy. I thought i basically had life figured out. Until entering sophomore year i realized hard work was the answer to everything. I was starting varsity football as a sophomore because of hard work. The whole season i couldn't wait until our last game (thanksgiving) wear they announce our names and we win medals and its a great experience. i lost sight of my academics and was was unable to participate do to my grades. The worst feeling in the world was standing on the sideline and watching everyone have fun who didn't work for it but got the play time because of people who weren't able to play do to grades left spots open on the team. Hard work is more then just living in the moment. your work efforts will drag on throughout your entire life. I tried to beat the system without studying and paid the price. What i'm trying to say is that we only get one life to live, you don't want to spend it living on shoulda coulda woulda you want to be able to look back and say i worked my ass off and gave it my all. Everyone looks back at life when they raise theyre kids to try to get them to not make the same mistakes they did. Also to get them to make good decisions they didnt make. No one wants to fail, thats why bullies make kids do theyre homework. Thats why people cheat. Thats why drug dealers move weight. NO ONE wants to be a failure. But its all about what you put in. What you put in is what you get out... I can honestly say i know what that means now. People always wish me luck before i do something. I reply " i work to hard to need luck ". I have been working hard and some of my recent accomplishments are Im the number 1 sophomore in the nation in track with a certain event. overall i finished 19th in the nation. I am going to be a 3 year starter for varsity football. God has blessed me with the most wonderful girl i can ever ask for ( shout outs to you brandii. i love you ). I have many other recent accomplishments but thats not what this post is about. Its about how you should work hard now. Have fun in the long run. Because life goes by fast. But while its going by... shouldnt it be fun? -Meko W.
